Learn about the VO business from a 20+ year veteran of the industry. Great opportunity to study the techniques to make your auditions stand out. Work with real scripts provided by Julie. Get insightful direction & feedback on your performances, and advice on setting up your home studio, building your demo reel, and finding auditions. Meet new people, share your talents, and learn from one another!
*2 x 1:1 private sessions at $150 each are required before being accepted into the weekly workshop. These 1:1 sessions cost $150 each and are worth every penny! Reach out for a complimentary consultation to learn more about Julie and her program.

6 weeks, 1hr Session VO Workshops are offered for beginning or advanced students. We will focus on a variety of script reading, expanding our character voices, and group performances, and talking more about how to find audition opportunities and how to build a demo reel. This is a great opportunity to work with other students who are pursuing a VO career or just improving their communication skills. You will learn from each other and have fun performing and crafting your art together. This class is virtual, so you can be anywhere!
Private lessons are also available to qualify for this class, 2 privates are required to get the student caught up and ready to join this group. Contact me for more information on :30min private lessons.

AUDITION/ PERFORMANCE COACHING
Virtually or in-person - Let’s get ready for the next big opportunity! These workshop will bring back performing scenes, commercial scripts and monologues for our theater kids.
In these workshops, we will have fun preparing for auditions, performing in front of an audience, running scenes with others and getting feedback. We will dig into our character development, stage presence and movement on the stage. n addition to the content I will supply them, students will be encouraged to bring any materials that they would like to practice and receive notes on.
For private lesson students, we will meet in-person and work on preparing and performing your audition piece, getting you ready for your big opportunity!
The show must go on, and when it does, they will be ready to shine!

COMING 2024
6 Week, 1.5hr Sessions
This 6-week, now 1.5 hour course, is designed for students of all skill levels. Students will learn and practice debate techniques in order to make effective, persuasive arguments. They will be given a topic and expected to construct arguments, defend positions and deliver rebuttals. Learning how to give helpful oral critiques is also an integral component of this course. Students will engage in issue research and critical thinking while building public speaking skills. The aim of this course is to empower students with the skills needed to become confident and engaged citizens of their community and beyond.
Taught by Jenn McRobbie, this class will be on-going and have advanced levels offered in the future.

COMING WINTER 2024
Why should the kids have all the fun? Coming this fall to Fairfax VA, for adult improv classes where we can flex our comedic muscles, learn how to go with the flow, and think on our feet. Improv is a skill that is not just for actors. Companies around the globe incorporate improv classes for their employees stating that it builds camaraderie, teaches people how to agree and cooperate, think fast, and keep things light.
This will be a 6 week BOYB class, that will be the highlight of your week. Great for couples and friend groups.

FOR GRADES 4-7th
I am so excited to get back to my roots and start teaching performance in person. This Day Off Workshop will focus on getting students comfortable being back in front of an audience. Spontaneity, flexibility, and acting natural are all beneficial aspects of the art of improv.
These workshops will offer many different improv activities that encourage kids to think on their feet, come up with creative ideas, interact and be inclusive with one another, make new friends, and find confidence in just being themselves. We will have so much fun, being kooky, finding our voices, re-discovering our talents, and expressing our most entertaining selves. The perfect way to spend your day off of school!
